about

This is the first part of an ongoing project for which I will be uploading the audio portion of my YouTube Native American flute improvisation videos. You are welcome to download these for free. The total time for this particular release is 84 minutes, so those who still like to burn tracks to CD-R's can make two with 18 tracks each, which nicely divides into 42:13 and 41:48 minutes for the respective discs.

A complete download includes a pdf file that lists the flutes used on each track.

Please do consider donating something if you enjoy what you hear and can afford to do so!

All of the audio in this release has been extracted from improvisations I recorded on video between 2009 and 2012 in the cities of Chuncheon and Wonju, South Korea and posted on my YouTube channel. All of these recordings were made in the great outdoors, so my numerous Native American-style flutes are often accompanied by wind, running water, rustling leaves, barking dogs, passing traffic, birds, and assorted insects. These are for the most part unobtrusive and often add a pleasing liveliness to the atmosphere that no studio environment could ever hope to provide. To ensure a more pleasurable listening experience, minor editing has been done to remove unwanted noises wherever possible, and the stereo field has been expand slightly.

Stereo audio source: Canon Power Shot SX20 IS digital camera recording in HD mode on all tracks. The one exception is track 17, "Something's in the Air", which was recorded monaurally on a Canon Power Shot A650 IS and enhanced to simulate stereo.
